Culina At COMO Dempsey: Marketplace, Bistro, Florist

Culina at COMO Dempsey is a unique, differentiated and specialised marketplace in Singapore. It is a charming destination in its own right – with a gourmet food market, an integrated butchery, a modern European bistro and an internationally acclaimed florist under one roof.

The new Culina market and bistro was unveiled in April 2019 after a relocation in Dempsey and is now bigger and better – occupying a gastronomic playground of over 15,000 sqft in space.

This three-in-one bistro, market and florist store is your one-stop-shop for the love of all things fine and delicious. There’s plenty of artisan produce and renowned wines sourced from around the world. You can find an array of grocery essentials such as fresh seafood, meat, vegetables, dairy products, frozen-packed food, Asian and local condiments, beverages and even kitchen utensils.

The Culina market also features a bakery which majorly covers freshly baked products like cakes and pastries, homemade breads, croissants, and other baked items.

If you are planning to throw a party and host a great meal, be sure to grab some fine quality meat from the butchery. The meat counter is stocked with prime cuts like Black Onyx, Margaret River Fresh Angus Beef and Westholme Wagyu.

Everything you need for a charcuterie platter can be found at the delicatessen counter.

Something extraordinary to blow the minds of your guests – bring home a bottled treasure that comes directly from the Mediterranean Sea. Message in the bottle by Rosso di Mazara is a limited edition of the purest red prawn elixir available on the market and can be used for any type of culinary preparation such as dressings and dips for appetisers, sauces for pasta dishes, and drizzles for gourmet pizzas.

After a satisfying shopping fix at the market place, you can swing by Culina Bistro for some drinks and light treats.

Here you can also find a well-curated menu selection of appetisers and sides, salads, pastas, sandwiches, and main courses like Maori Lakes Lamb Rack ($42++), Margaret River Beef Bourguignon ($38++), Castaing Duck Confit ($36++) are some dishes I’d like to try next time.

For those who wish to experience the market-to-table concept, you can actually pick up your unique food finds from the market place and get the bistro’s kitchen chefs to cook them a la minute.

Preparation fee applies for selected products at Culina Market. Charges start from $5 to $15 for cheese, charcuterie and caviar; $12 to $25 for smoked seafood, fresh fish and meat cooked in josper grill.

Lastly, aside from grocery shopping and dining, you can even find a florist at the corner of Culina Market. That’s a favourite spot for beautiful and exquisite flower bouquets from Sydney’s A-List florist: Grandiflora by Saskia Havekes; her first international outpost outside of Australia.
